Rating: 91 • Wine Enthusiast
Rating: 90 • James Suckling

Grape Variety & Origin: 55% Malbec from a 100-year-old vineyard in Perdriel, 900 meters above sea level) • 45% Cabernet Sauvignon from La Consulta (similar altitude).

Aging: French oak barrels for 10 months.

Alcohol: 14%.

Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red colour with dark violet hues. On the nose: Interesting aromatic complexity reminiscent of ripe plums, dried red fruits, nutmeg and spices, with notes of smokiness and chocolate. On the palate: Soft and velvety tannins, smooth and robust structure. Long and elegant finish.

Food Pairing: This is a very complex wine that can be paired with rich meat dishes, French cuisine with rich sauces, and spicy Mediterranean dishes. Also wonderful sipped on its own.

Serving Temperature: 16-18°C
