Grape Variety: 100% Merlot.

Origin: Cervantes, General Roca, Ro Negro, Patagonia, Argentina.

Aging: Not aged in oak. Aged in the bottle at the winery for a minimum of 3 months before shipment to market.

Alcohol: 14%.

Tasting Notes: Bright, deep ruby with garnet rim. On the nose, medium-intensity aromas of cooked fruits (plum jam and raspberry jam) and dried fruits (figs, raisins) with hints of toffee and floral notes. Intense and expressive on the palate, it presents soft tannins and good acidity with flavours of ripe red fruits, spices, and a subtle hint of oak. Medium to long, slightly toasty finish.

Food Pairing: Suggestions for this unoaked Merlot include straightforward meat dishes such as roast beef, roast veal, roast pork and roast chicken or rotisserie chicken. Try with mild-tasting lamb chops or rabbit stew, lighter-tasting pastas and risottos, and cheeses with sweet, nutty flavours (think Emmental, Gruyre, Gouda and Edam).

Serving Temperature: 18C (room temperature or just slightly cooler).
