Rating: 90+Around the World in 80 Harvests • Top 80 Gold Choice Awards

Grape Variety: 100% Trousseau Nouveau

Origin: Guérrico, General Roca, Río Negro, Patagonia, Argentina.

Aging: Not aged in oak. Aged in the bottle at the winery for a minimum of 2 months before shipment to market.

Alcohol: 14.5%.

Tasting Notes: This unique wine's translucent ruby colour conceals a surprise on the palate. But first on the nose, it has a beautifully complex fruity aroma in which currant, blueberry, strawberry, guava and cherry can be detected, along with earthy, minty, and herbal notes. On the palate, for a wine of such delicate colour, it has an unexpectedly robust tannic structure, with balanced fruit-forwardness and freshness, with a bit of sweetness too. These sensations persist on the long finish.

Food Pairing: Suggestions include dry-aged steak, roast chicken, roasted game birds, fattier types of salmon such as farmed or King salmon, grilled fish, smoked sausage and smoked meat, ham-and-cheese combinations, creamy celery root mash, and aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 12°C to 15°C (cooler than room temperature).
