Vilacetinho Vinho Verde DOC

Origin: Alpendurada, overlooking the Douro River in Amarante (a sub-region of the Vinho Verde wine region).

Grape Varieties: Avesso, Arinto, Azal, and Loureiro.

Ageing: Stainless steel.

Alcohol: 10.5%.

Tasting Notes: Pale-yellow citrine colour. Aromas of white orchard fruits and a light touch of tropical fruitiness on the nose. Fresh, young and vibrant, with a slight fizziness on the palate, lovely for sipping on any occasion. A typical summer white wine.

Food Pairing: A natural partner for any fish or seafood dish as well as Portuguese specialties such as caldo verde. Also good with other white meats, salads, potato dishes, and vegetables. Try with spicy Asian dishes.

Serving Temperature: 7 to 9°C (well chilled).

Vilacetinho Tinto Escolha Vinho Verde DOC 2016

Origin: Alpendurada, overlooking the Douro River in Amarante (a sub-region of the Vinho Verde wine region).

Grape Varieties: Vinhão, Touriga Nacional e Touriga Francesa.

Ageing: Not aged in oak.

Alcohol: 11.5%.

Tasting Notes: Deep red colour. Aroma of red berries and currents. This fruity, light, crisp and well-structured red Vinho Verde is the result of a perfect and harmonious blend of the local Vinhão grapes with classic Portuguese varieties. Fresh and young, juicy and bright.

Food Pairing: Goes well with freshly-grilled sardines and rich meat dishes. Try with grilled steak, beef, lamb, venison, charcuterie, poultry, seafood, chef's salad, Thai and Vietnamese vegetarian dishes, creamy sheep's milk cheese, feta, and goat cheese.

Serving Temperature: 12 to 15°C (cool cellar temperature or lightly chilled).

Casa de Vilacetinho Grande Escolha Vinho Verde DOC 2016

Origin: Alpendurada, overlooking the Douro River in Amarante (a sub-region of the Vinho Verde wine region).

Grape Varieties: Avesso, Arinto, Azal and Loureiro. Avesso and Azal provide sweetness and fruitiness. Arinto is renowned for its finesse and citrus flavors. Loureiro is an aromatic grape, reminiscent of a young Riesling with floral notes. This blend of varieties gives the wine aromas of plums, peaches, bananas, and green apple, as well as minerality.

Ageing: Not aged in oak.

Alcohol: 12.5%.

Tasting Notes: Attractive, citrusy aroma that reveals plum and peach assimilated with tropical and lemongrass notes. In the mouth, it is very smooth and elegant and absolutely delicious, with flavours of pear, apricot and spice, and mineral notes on the long finish.

Food Pairing: This wine is outstanding as an aperitif and also goes well with fish; shellfish such as mussels; octopus; chicken; rich, creamy pasta and risotto dishes; and salads.

Serving Temperature: 7 to 9°C (well chilled).
