Alvarinho Vinho Regional Alentejano 2015

Origin: Portalegre district, Alto Alentejo.

Grape Variety: 100% Alvarinho.

Ageing: Not aged in oak.

Alcohol: 13%.

Tasting Notes: "The Alvarinho grape, more at home in northern Portugal, makes a fine wine in the Alentejo hill country northeast of Lisbon. Síria Vinho Regional Alentejano 2015

Origin: Portalegre district, Alto Alentejo.

Grape Variety: 100% Síria.

Ageing: Not aged in oak.

Alcohol: 12.5%.

Tasting Notes: Light straw color with green hues. Fresh aroma of tropical fruits. On the palate, it is dry, crisp and fresh, with flavours of pears and ripe greengage plums, plus mineral notes.

Food Pairing: Absolutely lovely wine on its own. Also goes well with antipasti, roast chicken, sautéed vegetables, risotto, fish, salads, and cheeses.

Alfrocheiro Vinho Regional Alentejano 2013

Origin: Boavista Vineyard, Portalegre district, Alto Alentejo.

Grape Variety: 100% Alfrocheiro.

Ageing: 8 months in new/1 use oak barrels.

Alcohol: 14.7%.

Tasting Notes: Colour: Intense red centre. Aroma: Ripe notes of dark cherry and spice. Palate: Cherry and red stone fruits, great acidity and structure. Silky and rich tannins. Very long finish with spicy fruit flavours coming through.

Food Pairing: Wonderful with grilled meats like steak or pork chops or lamb ribs, roasted red meat dishes, strong cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 15° to 18°C or slightly cooler than room temperature.

Alicante Bouschet Vinho Regional Alentejano 2013

Origin: Antes and Boa Vista vineyards, Portalegre district, Alto Alentejo.

Grape Variety:100% Alicante Bouschet.

Ageing: 14 months in oak barrels.

Alcohol: 15.0%.

Tasting Notes: Colour: Purple-red very dense and dark. Aroma: Intense notes of dark fruit and spice with a floral nuance. Palate: Plums and prune notes, great acidity and structure. Silky and rich tannins. Very long and rich finish with notes of chocolate and vanilla.

Food Pairing: Pair with Portuguese barbecue. Also roast beef, grilled red meats, pasta with tomato-based sauce, sausages, red meat-based tagines, and cheeses. Try with fajitas made with portobello mushrooms and strips of sweet peppers and onions. Recommended for dark chocolate.

Serving Temperature: 16° to 18°C.

Aragonês Vinho Regional Alentejano 2013

Origin: Boavista Vineyard, Portalegre district, Alto Alentejo.

Grape Varieties: 97% Aragonês; 3% Viognier.

Ageing: 10 months in American oak.

Alcohol: 14.5%.

Tasting Notes: Colour: Intense dark red centre. Aroma: Red fruit and spicy vanilla. Palate: Rich tarry and wild strawberry flavours. Smooth and rich tannins. Long, spicy, savoury finish.

Food Pairing: Grilled or roasted red meats such as lamb, beef or pork, sausages, hamburgers, pastas with red sauces, spicy dishes; also great with soft cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 16° to 18°C.
